when you’re a photographer, the word “park” can be very loaded. almost everyone wants to shoot at a park, but not all parks are created equal. we’ve seen cute, little, playground parks; humongous, state parks; sad, long-forgotten parks; and parks which were more concrete than grass. we’ve even seen a “park” that was just an open field. (please note: an open field does not a park make. :P) needless to say, when sam said “cantigny park,” i was a wee bit skeptical.

blog world - i needn’t have worried! cantigny is the awesomest park ever! (yes, i said awesomest. don’t you love how i looked up the correct use of a semi-colon for this post, yet i still make up words?)

sam and corey have been married for almost two years now. they’re originally from the great state of illinois, but are currently stationed at camp pendleton all the way in sunny san diego, california. that’s right, corey is a marine. they just had a small ceremony when they got married, so we figured it was high time for them to get some amazing pictures of the two of them together. i mean seriously, how cute are they?

i would also like to take the time to point out how amazingly funny we are. you try getting a marine to laugh. yeah. not easy! :)

hope you guys enjoyed your extended (crazy packed, super busy) visit!

now check out their slideshow. in the words of the guvenator, “do it! do it now!”

PS - if you are getting married at cantigny, CALL US!! i’m absolutely dying to shoot there. look at this mansion!

it’s spriiinnnggg!

ok, so you probably can’t tell by the weather outside right now, but it’s SPRING! which means warmer days are right around the corner… er, at least i hope so. my favorite thing about spring (besides more sunlight, warmer weather, and the color green) is the SMELL. i love walking outside in the morning and smelling spring. i wish i could capture it and make it into a candle and have a spring-scented house all year round. if anyone has any thoughts about how to do this, please let me know.

spring also means that our sessions are filling up awful fast. how fast, you say? like the flash fast. oh yeah. i went there. so what are you waiting for?

BREAKING NEWS! we’ve added another delaware weekend to our calendar! we’ll be in dover from may 15-17th. so if you live in the first state and would like to get your picture-taking on without paying those pesky travel fees, sign up now!

can’t think of the perfect easter/mother’s day/i’m-so-freaking-happy-it’s spring present? why just get your loved one (or yourself, we don’t judge) a gift certificate good for a session or products with yours truly! email us for all the juicy details.

and because what says springtime better than puppies, enjoy these lovely photos of puppies which aren’t ours.

little miss sophie.

super cool snowball.

the lovely miss sadie. who is actually petrified of my camera and hides when she sees us.

enjoy the (thought of) warmer weather!

goooooooorgeous.

tony’s favorite :)

gina’s favorite :)

ok, i lied. this one might be my favorite… i’m so indecisive!

new york city, ny
say hello to the insanely adorable couple of sarah and travis. they celebrated their third wedding anniversary recently and we decided to commemorate the occasion with some fancy new photos!

we met up with these guys down at the south street seaport, on what was supposed to be an unusually warm weekend for february. needless to say, weathermen LIE! it was absolutely freezing, as per usual, which means it was twice as cold because we were right next to the water. (noticing a trend about our posts lately? I HATE THE COLD! hehehe…) luckily, sarah and travis were smart and rocked the pea coats, so they stayed pretty warm. just more proof that just because it’s cold out, doesn’t mean you can’t get your picture taken!

so make sure you leave a little blog love for these two and let them know how awesome they are.

until next time,

-gina
