things that are awesome - week 2
hi there kiddos,
welcome to this week’s installment of things that are awesome.
1. stargate universe. at least, i hope it will be awesome. hope and pray. because, blog world. we. love. stargate. and let me tell you, i wasn’t always such a sci-fi nerd i promise. it all started when we studied abroad in italy and were spending a rare night huddled in our apartment with a laptop and a borrowed set of season 1 of stargate sg-1. (another friend from our school loved the show and brought it with him.)
the conversation that ensued went something like this:
tony: let’s watch this. it looks cool!
gina: it looks ridiculous. i’m not watching some stupid sci-fi show.
tony: pleeeeeeaaaaassssseeeee. i can’t watch another episode of “walker, texas ranger” completely in italian again.
gina: fine! but if it sucks, we’re turning it off immediately.
*play show*
tony: so what did you think?
gina: OMG I LOVE IT!
and that’s how it started… or something like that anyway. 
so you don’t need to be a super sci-fi nerd to enjoy a really cheesy sci-fi show once in awhile. and i can’t tell you how happy i am that they are reincarnating the series in a much cooler, edgier fashion. don’t believe me? check out the trailer!
2. wisconsin. because that’s where we are right now! 
spending a few days relaxing up by the lake. and by relaxing, i mean trying to convince tony that i don’t really need to go in. looking is nice enough. (i’m petrified of lakes actually… come to think of it. maybe not so awesome?)
