101 in 1001

i know i’m way behind the times with this list, but i thought it would be fun to post something totally personal up here. 101 in 1001 is a list of 101 goals that you hope to complete in the next 1001 days. that’s a little less than three years. it’s kind of a fun alternative to new year’s resolutions.

here’s probably WAY too much information on what i hope to accomplish in the next three years. i wrote things that i can prove i accomplished (for the most part), so expect lots of fun updates on what actually gets done!

so without further ado:

101 in 1001

milwaukee, wi
i’m sorry this wedding was so awesomely in-your-face. uh, wait a second. no i’m not! we could not have asked for a cooler, funkier, awesomer (yes, i went there) wedding party than jessie and brian’s. this wedding was just fun from beginning to end. from dancing down the aisle to the awesome candy bar, we had a great time. (note to future brides: cake and candy are all it takes to make gina a happy photographer. just sayin’.)

so the ceremony took place at the iron horse hotel in downtown milwaukee. it’s such a cool, unique location! they have couches outside. COUCHES! then afterward we headed a few blocks over to the cuvee for their rockin’ reception. in the words of jim rome it was PHE-NOMENAL.

jessie&brian - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for choosing us to be your photographers. you guys are fabulous and we can’t wait to hang out with you guys again!

make sure you check out the the slideshow for more awesomeness.

things that are awesome

sometimes i have things i’d like to share with all you lovely blog readers that are completely un-photography related. so while debating this with tony and trying to find a way to fulfill this need of mine, we decided to start a weekly post entitled ‘things that are awesome.’ because everyone could use a little more awesome in their lives, right?

so for our very first post of awesomeness, here are the things i’ve found to be awesome times 12 in the past week.

1. happy hour at sonic!

now i’m not one to flout fast food. (in fact, i’m not even a super huge fan of sonic’s food in general.) but let me impress upon you the insane awesomeness that is a HALF PRICE CHERRY LIMEADE. i would gladly surrender my first born child for one of these. it’s like someone mixed together a shirley temple and heaven. no joke. but to add to that, they make them half price from 2-4 pm every day?! sweet lord. words cannot describe.

*not our photo

2. this wedding party. just watch. the total awesomeness is blatant.

3. harry potter! anyone who knows me knows i loooove harry potter. and i’m not ashamed to admit it. i’ve read all the books about a gazillion times. i think the movies are crazy entertaining. i love magic. period. and that’s why you should all go see the new movie pronto. and watch the others if you haven’t seen them yet. (and better yet, read the books!) and if anyone wants to nerd out to harry potter with me, i’m so down.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Trailer in HD

and speaking of awesome, we have some really awesome shoots that are going to be posted really soon! we’ve been running around like chickens with our heads cut off, but we’re really pumped to get this all up. you will not be disappointed!!
